You know when they tell you not to just turn off a computer without gracefully shutting it down? \u00c2\u00a0Yeah, they aren\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t joking. \u00c2\u00a0Of course, out of pure frustration I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve done this several times to this stupid server because of its propensity to refuse to shut down like a normal computer. \u00c2\u00a0But it always came back swinging. \u00c2\u00a0Not this time, though. \u00c2\u00a0Now it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dead. \u00c2\u00a0It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s really dead. \u00c2\u00a0This was a solid state drive, so I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know if there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s any coming back from this.<\/p>\n
Now I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m faced with the same choice I had when this happened a few short months ago. \u00c2\u00a0Do I rebuild my blog from scratch, again?<\/i> \u00c2\u00a0Or do I just swallow my pride and get a wordpress.com account and let them do it. \u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Now repeat that question across all the potential use cases for this device. \u00c2\u00a0Blog, game server, backup file host, IoT base station, calendar server. \u00c2\u00a0Do it myself, or let somebody do it for me? \u00c2\u00a0It would be so much easier, wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t it? \u00c2\u00a0Just buy my way out of the problem, with my money or access to my data.<\/p>\n
